Wakanda One is a positive minded soul fusion duo based out of Omaha, Nebraska. Shomari Huggins (Vocals and Songwriting) and Coleman Hunter (Vocals, Saxophone, Percussion, Songwriting) make up the harmonic sound. These brothers in-soul met in elementary school, collabbed on “Maria, Maria” for the talent show in 3rd grade, and haven’t stopped performing since. 

Wakanda One was officially formed in 2015 and immediately began performing a mix of original music and covers. Growing up listening to R&B, Soul, Gospel, and Hip Hop, Wakanda One is a fusion of influences such as Sam Cooke, Anderson Paak, and Kendrick Lamar. Wakanda One has had the privilege of touching stages in a variety of US cities and in Jamaica. Wakanda One will be releasing their first project titled “Just Listen” on Friday October 21, 2022. Recording for Just Listen began in 2018 with the song Upfull, and slowly grew to become an extended play (EP), with instrumentals produced by Fontenelle Music, featuring Ben Merliss (Bass) on Upfull and OTR, as well as Just Ku (vocals) on Inception and Kuology.
